8 sided sculpture of crystal clear glass containing a mushroom-shaped 'bubble' on the bottom of iridescent blue with fine gold dusting embedded. The floor of the glass sculpture is covered with gold dust that sparkles and changes color as you rotate the piece. The underside of the paperweight is fused with a layer of metallic skin with a pattern of concentric circles of alternate red gold and tungsten. As you rotate the paperweight under strong light, a kaleidoscopic series of images ensue. Truly fascinating.
