Designed by Ettore Sottsass, Marco Zanini and Wendy Wheatley in 1985 and manufactured by Leitner of Austria.
First generation designer wood was designed by Sottsass and made by Alpi. Light brown Fir and blonde bird's-eye-maple wood veneers were made with reconstituted wood fiber and was used extensively in Sottsass' architectural projects for Esprit. Grain patterns are exaggerated compared to natural wood.
