Hans Schwippert (1899-1973) designed this set of cutlery for Hugo Pott in the 1950s.  Schwippert was an architect who was head of the Deutscher Werkbund from 1947 to 1963.
Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956), world renowned Austrian architect and designer, founded the Vienna Secession in 1897 with artists Gustav Klimt and Koloman Moser..
In 1903, with backing from the industrialist Fritz Wärndorfer, the Wiener Werkstätte became the studio and laboratory of the Vienna Secession's artists and craftsmen.  Hoffmann designed this set of cutlery for Hugo Pott in the early 1950s
These two patterns of stainless steel cutlery are of historical significance and are sold together in a Hugo Pott gift box as shown.
Both sets are brand new and in excellent condition, but the gift box, being from the early 1980s, is not brand new but in excellent condition.
